Leading Geometric parametric modeling solutions today like CATIA V5, Unigraphics and Pro/E provide a critical set of CAD solutions for the design of complex mechanical products. The Acc-u-Trans CAD Component now available from Translation Technologies, provides seamless access to these leading CAD platforms from within the iSIGHT-FD / FIPER software.

This direct integration will allow the power contained in the CAD models to be accessed and exploited. The component will allow users to easily modify CAD parameters, save the CAD data in formats compatible with CAE, and maintain links from the CAD geometry to the CAE geometry in all the DOE models supported by the iSIGHT-FD / FIPER software.

This event will demonstrate the benefit of direct integration of these components into simulation workflows and the following capabilities:

• Computing output properties such as mass and equations
• Automatic modification of the CAD geometry for downstream CAE use of CAD models
  
• Automatically executing embedded CAE tools directly within the CAD application
• Eometry mapping for CAD to CAE interoperability
