SIGHTNA’s
two founders have combined experience in technology
management and start-up companies both in the US and
China. In addition, the two founders also share in-depth
industry domain knowledge of industry engineer design,
pharmaceutical and financial industries.
Dr.
Siu S. Tong, Chairman
Dr. Tong is currently also the Chairman
of Engineous Software, and was CEO of Engineous since
its inception until May 2000. Prior to founding Engineous,
he spent 11 years at GE deploying 2nd generation iSIGHT
product. He has many years of start-up experience.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical Engineering
from M.I.T. and minored in management at the M.I.T.
Sloan School of Management. Dr. Tong grew up in Hong
Kong and immigrated to the US at his young age.
Dr. Larry Rong, President
Prior to SIGHTNA, Dr. Rong was a
principal of venture investment at A. M. Pappas &
Associates, a North Carolina based venture capital
firm. He has extensive experience with start up companies,
especially in the area of financing, corporate operation
and governance. Prior to his venture capital career,
he was an equity analyst with a Wall Street "bulge-bracket"
investment banking firm. He received his Ph.D degree
from New York University and an MBA degree from the
Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He earned his BS degree from Fudan University in Shanghai,
China.
